OPI You Only Live Twice: Swatch and Review

Hello gentle readers.

Today I have an amazing. Simply amazing polish to show to you. This is OPI You Only Live Twice. This rich red raspberry jelly is packed. Packed, I say with gold and hot pink glass fleck shimmer. This polish is so flattering, shiny, sparkly, squishy and... *shiver* It's just gorgeous. Yowza.

This swatch is two coats and Seche Vite.

Guh! I get all kerfluffled just looking at these photographs, again. I want to run down to my sanctuary and put it back on my nails.

The formula on this polish is simply scrumptious. It's only teeny flaw is that it can try to run on you on the first coat but a little care in application on that first coat solves the problem. I had to whisk away a few boo boos until I get the hang of this beauty. The second coat follows the first like a compliant puppy and gives not the tiniest bit of trouble. Otherwise, it didn't pool, drag, streak or bubble. Dry time was a little slower but with Seche Vite it wasn't bad, overall.

Of the whole Skyfall Collection, OPI You Only Live Twice is one of the clear standouts for me. You know I love me some red jelly and some glass fleck so, yeah. This beauty is right in my wheelhouse.

Do you won this polish? Yes? please do share your thoughts. If you don't yet have it but you love red jelly and glass fleck run. Don't walk. Run. Get it. You need it. So... Go get it.

Thank you so much for popping in and reading. I welcome your comments, please remember to let the Disqus widget load or I won't see them. And that would make me sad. Have a great day and may your polish never bubble.

OPI The World is Not Enough: Swatch and Review

Hello gentle readers.

Here is another of the polishes from the OPI Skyfall Collection for Holiday 2012 that I purchased. I still have a couple more from this collection I may pick up... We'll see. I got all of the ones I reallyreallyreally wanted except for The Man With the Golden Gun. *sigh* And it looks as if I am not going to get that one. Oh well. I'll live.

The World is Not Enough is a glitzy taupe-y purple jelly packed with pink, silver and blue glass fleck shimmer and micro glitter. This is one of those polishes that utterly confounded my poor old camera. It did it's best but, as I frequently say, trust me when I tell you, this one is way prettier in person.

This swatch is three coats and Seche Vite to top it.

As you can see, my camera glommed on to the silver shimmer and spaced out on just about everything else. *sigh* That little bugger just frustrates the living daylights out of me.

The formula on this one is really great, It is easy to apply and control. It flows nicely off of the brush, sits sweetly down where it is placed and gives no trouble with running, pooling, streaking, dragging or bubbling. Dry time is very nice, especially if thinner coats are applied and a fast dry top coat is used. This is pretty sheer and three full coats are necessary to achieve full opacity. I tend to polish in thick coats and I had to apply three.

This polish is unique and it is stunning. I haven't ever met one quite like this before and I am really happy that I picked it up.

Do you own this stunner? How do you like it? If you are thinking that you might like to have it, get thee to where OPI is sold and grab yourself a bottle. I seriously doubt that you would be sorry.

Thank you so much for popping in and reading this review. Have yourself a wonderful day and may your polish never bubble.

OPI Jade is the New Black: Swatch and Review

Hello gentle readers.

Today I am featuring a polish I lemming'd on for a long time and I finally bought it. I don't know why I waited so long to buy this polish. I am just weird like that, I guess.

OPI Jade is the New Black is from the Hong Kong Collection from 2010. It is a rich, shiny, dark jade green creme. This swatch is two coats and Seche Vite.

The formula on this is pretty fabulous, It applies smoothly and is easy to control, there is no running, pooling, dragging, bubbling and other nonsense. It was a little streaky after the first coat but the second coat made this perfectly smooth and fully opaque. Dry time is good. There is a little weirdness on my middle finger nail, it isn't the polish, I ended up with an invisible fiber that mucked up the works. Grrrrr! I tried to smooth it out a little with the airbrush tool n Picasa... I don't know how well I did. But I gave it a shot.

Do you own OPI Jade is the New Black? How much do you love it? If you have been thinking that you might like to have it, it is easy to find where you buy OPI.

Thank you so much for popping in and reading. Have a great day and may your polish never bubble.

Nail Art Not on My Nails

Hello gentle readers.

Happy New Year! I hope that 2013 brings you love, happiness, health and everything on your polish lemming list.

2013 has brought me the plague. My husband had it over Christmas and not it is my turn. Bleargh! I am going to kill him. Then I am going to hunt down the germbag who gave this to my husband and kill them. I hate being sick!

So, because I am ill and whiny and my nails are bare but for a protective film of base coat, here is a stamped look I did a bit back. I stamped with one of my Bundle Monster plates... I can't remember which plate... If you have the plates, you know which one it is. I can't be bothered to dig out my notes, right now. *cranky* I stamped with China Glaze 2030 onto OPI Live and Let Die and topped it with Seche Vite. Then, a day later, I mattified it with Orly Matte Top. Which is pretty good stuff, by the way. I never see it at Sally's but it is available on Amazon.

Okay. I am worn out. I'm going to go drink something hot and soothing and feel sorry for myself.

Thank you for popping in and reading. Stay away from germbags with plague, have a great day and may your polish never bubble.
